Terms and Conditions
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Mashrooh platform: the Mashrooh apps for iPhone and Android and the Mashrooh websites. The platform is operated by Mashrouh Training Center, Commercial Registration No. 2055142478 ("Mashrooh", "we", "us").
By creating an account, buying or using Mashrooh, you accept these terms and the policies they refer to: the Privacy Policy, the Refund and Cancellation Policy, the Live Video and Interruption Policy, the Complaints Policy, the Acceptable Use Rules, the Content and Intellectual Property Policy, the Certificates Policy and the Payment and Pricing Policy.
If you register for an organisation, such as a training centre or a company, you confirm that you are authorised to act on its behalf.
2. What Mashrooh is
Mashrooh is a training marketplace:
- Independent trainers and training centres offer recorded and live courses, bundles of courses and private consultations.
- Companies buy training courses for their employees.
- The trainer or centre named on each programme provides and delivers it.
Mashrooh runs the platform and collects payments on behalf of the providers. It also applies the refund rules, handles complaints and issues attendance certificates on the platform.
3. Accounts
- You need an account to buy or to offer training. You confirm your mobile number or email with a one-time code; the mobile code arrives by WhatsApp. You may also sign in with a passkey, Face ID or fingerprint on your device.
- Keep your codes secret and your devices safe. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or use Mashrooh with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
- We review trainers, training centres and companies before they can sell, or buy as organisations. We may ask for documents, refuse an application, or suspend an account under section 9.
- You can delete your account from the app or the website at any time, unless money is still open on it; we then show you what stops the deletion and why. See Delete your account.
4. Buying programmes
- Prices are in Saudi riyals, and the amount shown at checkout is the amount charged.
- Payments are processed by a licensed payment provider, MyFatoorah. We never see or store your card number.
- One discount applies per purchase. Bundles do not accept discount codes or company codes.
- A purchase is confirmed when the payment provider confirms it to us. If you pay twice for the same course, the second payment is refunded to you in full automatically.
- Refunds follow the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
5. Learning, live sessions and certificates
- Access to a programme belongs to your account and is for your own learning only. You may watch the content without limit for as long as your account is active and the Mashrooh platform exists.
- A recorded session counts as complete when you have watched 85% of it without skipping ahead.
- A live session counts as complete when you attend it, or later watch 85% of its recording.
- Live sessions and consultations take place in the Mashrooh video room and may be recorded. See the Live Video and Interruption Policy.
- Certificates are issued under the Certificates Policy.
6. Offering training (trainers and centres)
- Trainers and centres also accept the provider agreement shown at registration. It sets out the commissions, holding periods and payouts.
- Mashrooh keeps a commission on each sale after the payment provider's fee, and sets a commission for each type of sale.
- The commission may differ for a set period, or for a particular trainer or centre. Each sale uses the commission in force when it is paid. We tell providers in the app at least 3 days before any higher commission applies.
- We hold your share of each sale until the buyer's refund period ends. For courses with live sessions still to come, we also hold it until the last session is delivered. We then transfer it to your bank account through MyFatoorah. The amounts are held with our financial partner MyFatoorah, not by Mashrooh, for the highest standard of payment security.
- Providers follow the Live Video and Interruption Policy, including: starting each session on time (more than 20 minutes late requires a new time within 7 days), checking the quality of every recording, and telling trainees about any cancellation or change through the app.
- If a trainer cancels a paid consultation, the trainee gets back everything they paid, and the payment fee is taken from the trainer's next earnings. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
7. Messages from Mashrooh
We send messages in the app and as phone notifications:
- service messages about codes, payments, refunds, sessions and certificates;
- messages from the Mashrooh team: special notices, commission changes, government warnings and regulations, policy and service updates, and account warnings;
- offers and marketing messages.
Sign-in codes arrive by WhatsApp or email. You can switch marketing messages and offers off at any time in your account (More › Notifications and contact). Sign-in codes and service and team messages cannot be switched off.
8. Content and ownership
The Mashrooh name, logos, design and software belong to us. Training content belongs to the trainer or centre that made it, who allows us to host and show it on Mashrooh.
You may not copy, record, share or resell any content. See the Content and Intellectual Property Policy and the Acceptable Use Rules.
9. Suspension and closure
We may hide content, stop payouts, or suspend or close an account when these terms or the law are broken. Examples are incorrect documents, fraud, abuse of others, unlawful content and repeated complaints found to be valid. Where it is safe, we tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
A training centre's account may also be closed under its financial undertaking if a payment request is not paid on time.
10. Availability and liability
We work to keep the Mashrooh platform available, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted: the internet, the video providers or others may fail. Trainers and centres are responsible for the content and quality of their training.
As far as the law allows, our total liability to you does not exceed what you paid to Mashrooh in the twelve months before your claim. For providers, it does not exceed what they earned through Mashrooh in the same period. Nothing in this limits your rights as a consumer under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and policies. We tell you in the app or by email as soon as an update is published. If you do not accept a change, you may stop using the platform and close your account once no money or training is open on it, with no claims under the new updates. See Delete your account.
12. Law, disputes and language
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Please start with the complaints process in the app. If a dispute is not settled within 30 days, it goes to the competent courts in the city of Dammam. The Arabic text of these terms prevails over any translation.
